Thoughts about the new year, and reflection on the past year.

well it's hard to believe it but it's already 2017! It feels like 2016 was both a long but fast year: I hope you all don't mind but I'm just going to put some of my thoughts down that I have been pondering..... Looking back over 2016 I can see so many blessings, so many good times....and some bad ones, but I can safely say tha even through the difficult times there was joy and there still is; no some things haven't changed as far as how sick my parents have been....especially daddy. But Gods been so good to us in many ways I couldn't even begin to count his blessings....I think about when I went through teenpact last year and how God brought me through that when at the time I was feeling to tired but he gave me strength to move on and I had a complete blast! Then miraculously getting everything together to enter the speech competition for my graduation.... I tell ya it was truly the Lord the just somehow helped me pull that all together literally a couple of days before the deadline, I really thought I couldn't but God definitely taught me FAITH: and then us girls went to a holiness youth camp in California and that was so much fun God really came and helped all of us.
Then came my graudation! Oh my goodness I'll never forget that day.... I had so many knots in my stomach but I had complete peace that God would help me through, I'm so grateful for all who prayed for me that day; oddly enough I was more nervous during the rehearsal then in the actual graduation, as I waited for my cue to walk on the stage I can't really describe it, but I felt him helping me somehow it's really something very personal that the Lord did for me: I guess the best way to exp,Ian it is that night was a milestone for me in many ways; because God showed me that as long as I walked in obedience with him Nothing is impossible.... if I'll just simply trust him.
I'm just hitting the highlights of last year but July was also a exciting month as that was when our AFHE Homeschool convention was going on, it was only two days but man those were jam packed days! God helped us to go provided a way and I also had committed to volunteering at Teenpact of Arizonas booth; it really was so much fun and really exciting to get to go.
So just looking back helps to remember that God is still very much involved in the lives of his children, sure I'll be honest....it's hard emotionally to think about how much Daddys health has gone down, and I won't deny that I've spent many nights crying out to the Lord....but I hve felt his arms around us as we faced our darkest moments. And you know what I don't think I have experienced joy like when I have come through a valley with God ALIVE and not consumed.... I do know that you'll never know God like when you've known him all by yourself in the darkest scariest time  of your life where you were absolutely certain that the storm you were going through was going to kill you, but God brought you through..... I'll tell you that's when I have experienced the sweetest most intimate times with him. You know I've prayed a thousand times that he would remove the thorn but his grace is enough! And what if all of the pain that we have experienced in our lives brings about the sweetest times with God? Would we still believe that he is pure and his ways past finding out? I don't blame God for anything bad that has happened that would be foolish, cause we live in a fallen world pain is inevitable...but as a Christian the difference is that pain doesn't have to cripple us, we don't have to live in despair; yes we have a heaven to look forward too that God has promised us, but what's even more amazing to me is that God redeems our pain even while we are still on earth, because of the blood of his son Jesus Christ. Even the most devastated heart and  lives can have hope and peace because of Jesus.....there's so much healing and power in the name of Jesus, and when you've been through dome stuff with God you learn to love your healer more than you loved being healed.... I can truly relate to that in more ways then one.
I'm sorry for my rambling I'm just sharing my heart; I just want God to get all the glory and I can't even begin to give him the praise he derseves! I think in the next few posts I'll be sharing some things that I wrote a while back just haven't shared yet.... forgive any grammatical errors I'll try to fix them when I get a chance, God bless!
