FAITH

Hebrews, chapter 11, We all know it as our "Hall of Faith" it is a very encouraging chapter to read, a verse that stuck out to me, was verse 11, "Through Faith also Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she as past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised."
I found it interesting that when I looked up the word "Judged" And it said judged [when used as a verb] means to form an opinion or conclusion about something.
Now we know that really it seemed like Sarah didn't have much faith, it seems like she really didn't believe God. But we miss something in that story, we miss the plain and simple fact that Sara was human. No it did not give her an excuse, but she was human non the less. But she did find out God was faithful because he kept his promise.

Genesis 21:7 And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for i have born him a son in his old age.

Right here in this verse, Sarah found him faithful, who had promised.
vs,11 She judged him faithful who had promised. When Isaac was conceived within her, she came to the conclusion, you could say, that God will fulfill what he has promised, just because it isn't in our "Time frame" doesn't mean he forgot about his promise. GOD, IS NOT MAN HE DOES NOT LIE! Hebrews 6:18, Titus 1:2
Oh if we ever doubt God, may we judge him FAITHFUL! For he is faithful.
Now in this chapter there is a list of people, who had Faith in the midst of trials, and adversity.

vs, 13
These all died in Faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and Pilgrims on the earth.

isn't that awesome? these people all died in faith, but they did't see the promise God said he was sending to them, the promise of eternal salvation to those who keep the faith. these people still believed God, even though they went through unimaginable trials, and torture, still not having seen the promise.
But though they may not have seen the promise on earth, they most certainly did in Heaven!

may the Lord help me not to doubt his promise, but to have faith. To be like these great men, and women of faith, who believed God.

This passage of scripture really touched my heart, so I wanted to share it with you all.
